The team event of this year’s primary schools tennis process was completed tonight at Horsham Tennis Club and there were no surprises as Southwater marched to glory in both the age group competitions, year 3+4 and year 5+6. The third and final instalment of action involved both singles and doubles matches.

Southwater Take the Lead in Schools Tennis Leagues

Shelley proved the surprise package at the last meeting of the Horsham Primary Schools Netball League Division B this season, coming through from mid-table to top spot as a result of four straight victories. Leaders at the start of the night added two wins to their first meeting total but suffered a critical 4-3 loss to Kingslea B in the night’s most exciting match.

Basketball Double for Kingslea

It was the turn of the year 3+4 basketballers from local primary schools to strut their stuff tonight at Kingslea School. Just like in the year 5+6s it was Kingslea A who came through to win the glory, albeit very closely, requiring superior baskets difference (‘BD’ in the results table below) to elevate them above St Robert Southwell into top spot.
