Fixtures, Results and Reports for Academic Year 2021-22
The second phase of the Horsham Primary Schools Netball League started tonight with the first meeting of Division A at The Bridge. And what an exciting opener it was with some super games. Things could not have gone any better for St Andrew’s School, Nuthurst if they’d have written their own movie script for it. Both their A and B teams won their first two matches and the villagers now sit proudly in the top two positions of the table.
Heron Way bagged yet another sports hall athletics success today at Forest School. This time it was their Year 6s turning on the style, accumulating a whopping 505 points, 97 ahead of nearest rivals Southwater Junior Academy. So SJA continuing its role of bridesmaid, not the bride in this year’s series of events.
There’s just no stopping Heron Way Primary School when it comes to athletics. This week it was their Year 4s proving themselves faster, higher and stronger in the sports hall athletics event at Millais School amid the opposition of six other schools. Keeping to the form of the previous Year 3 event and indeed recent history, Southwater Junior Academy achieved runners-up spot.
Primary schools table tennis competition returned to the Horsham area this afternoon as teams from Kingslea and Southwater Juniors convened in Kingslea’s school hall. Kingslea had eight teams of two playing and Southwater four, making a total of 24 players sharing the four tables available.Well done to Kingslea A for winning the event, beating Kingslea B 21-16 in a good quality final.
Division B of the Horsham Primary Schools Netball League came to its first phase conclusion tonight at The Bridge. Nuthurst B held on to their top spot in the table without having to set foot on court after Shelley C’s late withdrawal. However no such anti-climax in their play-off final versus Leechpool B, hammering the second placers 6-1 to confirm their status as the best team in the second tier.
ANuthurst A emerged as winners of the first phase of Division A in the Horsham Primary Schools Netball League this week after a dramatic 2-1 play-off final victory over Leechpool A, the team who had topped the table in front of them based on the pure round-robin results.
