Year 5+6 Football League Up and Running
New school year, new primary schools football league. 15 teams from 10 local schools hit the astroturf at Tanbridge on Friday night to provide great entertainment and excitement for the watching parents and teachers.
Heron Way and Southwater Vie for Glory in Battles of the B Teams
There were two excellent Horsham Area quadkid athletics competitions at The Bridge today as four B teams from local primary schools plus small school St Mary’s Horsham came together at year 3+4 age group in the morning and year 5+6 in the afternoon.
Youngsters Thrive at TT Development Competition
Over 20 youngsters from Horsham and Crawley Community table tennis clubs convened at Forest School, new home of Horsham Table Tennis Club, today for a developmental competition. Three children dropped out due to illness and it was great to have three dads stepping into the breach to make good organiser Ian Ford’s schedules.
Heron Way Win Out in Year 3+4 Quadkids Thriller
Heron Way beat Southwater by 43 points to win today’s Large Schools Year 3+4 District Sports Quadkids Athletics in the midst of an entry field of nine local primary schools competing at The Bridge leisure centre’s athletics stadium. 43 points is not a lot when the winning points score is 2710!
Big Performances from Small Schools In District Sports Quadkids
Nine local small primary schools convened at The Bridge leisure centre’s athletics stadium yesterday to contest the District Sports Quadkids Athletics competition and event where all competing children complete a run, a sprint, a throw and a standing long jump. Year 3 and 4 children competed in the morning and year 5 and 6’s did likewise in the afternoon to provide a spectacular sight for large contingents of parents gathered to watch.
Kingslea Win Rounders Thriller
Kingslea are the new primary school rounders top dogs in the Horsham area after their A team impressively rode the waves of some tough opponents at this year’s championships again held at Millais School in Horsham under the auspices of an excellent team of young leader (year 9) officials.
