Plot Thickens in Netball League Top Tier

Things are getting really exciting in the Horsham Area Primary Schools Netball League Division A. The Leechpool and Nuthurst A teams increased their stock price with a number of victories and when the two of them met they shared four goals equally. However All Saints won both their matches on the night, refuse to be shaken off in their hunt of the leading teams and indeed have games in hand to utilise in pursuit of their ambition.

Warnham are Badminton Wonders

15 children from Warnham and St Mary’s Pulborough primary schools contested a fabulous badminton competition this afternoon at The Bridge. St Mary’s brought a few less children than originally planned so instead of there being 10 teams of two involved there were five teams of two and another five teams of one – they say no man is an island but for badminton it was made temporarily possible!

Southwater B Firing On All Cyclinders in Netball Div B, Nuthurst C Chasing Hard

Phase 2 of Division B opened tonight at The Bridge with six of the eight teams present and therefore playing fewer but slightly longer matches in the first meeting. Southwater B, relegated from Division A at the end of Phase 1, made a positive statement of intent by getting two confident wins, smashing Shelley B 11-1 before being given a little more resistance by Leechpool C in a match that ended 5-2.

All Saints and Holbrook Splash Out

After taking a year out due to covid the Horsham Primary Schools Swimming Gala made a welcome return to the local sporting scene today at Pavilions in the Park. All Saints romped to victory in the A event in which club swimmers were allowed whilst the Holbrook A team did the business in the B event within which club swimmers were not allowed.

Southwater Take Year 5 Sports Hall Athletics Title

Southwater Junior Academy won the Year 5 sports hall athletics competition at Forest School yesterday. Covid challenges had unfortunately reduced the entry field to about half of what it was originally, including preventing Heron Way from going for a full house of triumphs, but you can only beat who’s there and certainly SJA did that in some style accumulating 443 points, 71 in front of nearest challengers Kingslea.
