Heron Way Win Year 6 Indoor Athletics Opener
Heron Way stormed their way to victory in the Year 6 Horsham Primary Schools Sports Hall Athletics Competition last Thursday at Forest School in Horsham. They accumulated a hefty 406 points total, 78 in front of second placed Southwater and a further 30 past Greenway in third.
St Robs Dodge Success
St Robert Southwell School won tonight’s year 5+6 Horsham Primary Schools Dodgeball Tournament ran on one of The Bridge’s multicourts. They won six of their seven fixtures in fine style and drew the other one against nearest chasers Leechpool A.
Lower Beeding Take Top Spot
Following the success of the year 3&4 dodgeball tournament Horsham Sports Services worked with Millais School sports leaders to run the year 5&6 tournament which was as much of a success. We welcomed 4 schools and 8 teams to Millais school to display the skills they had learned in our dodgeball project. The atmosphere was electric with all teams showing so much support for their team mates along with some really good sportsmanship which was identified by the Millais students in their closing speech.
Kingslea Retain Table Tennis Title
A fantastic Horsham Primary Schools Table Tennis Team Matchplay competition ran at Kingslea School last night involving 12 teams from three schools – Kingslea, Southwater and Holbrook. Teams played across two first phase Pools from which placings fed into three second phase divisions.
Schools Netball League Pool A Suffers More Bad Weather Woes
Netball League Pool A had to be cut short last Thursday evening as in the cold weather The Bridge’s multicourts, despite salting, became too slippy for children to play on. So after four rounds of play the decision was taken by the umpires to curtail the event and leave the remaining three rounds of games unplayed.
Colgate On Target in Archery Comp
Colgate Primary School were the winners of the first Association Small Schools Horsham (ASSH) virtual archery competition that was recently completed. Four ASSH schools took part with Colgate being joined by Holy Trinity Lower Beeding, St Peter’s Cowfold and Rusper.
