Close Fought Battle Between Leechpool Teams for Boys Netball Crown
Five teams from three schools contested today’s Horsham Area Primary Schools Boys Netball Tournament tonight at The Bridge. They played in a straight round-robin format and Leechpool’s A and B teams turned out to be the dominant forces beating all opponents except each other in which match they drew 3-3. So goal difference became the decider and on that front Leechpool A became champions being six goals better off.
St Robs Just The Job in Year 3+4 Basketball
KSt Robert Southwell are this year’s year 3+4 Horsham Area Primary Schools Basketball Festival winners. They won a close but exciting final 4-2 against a strong and impressive Leechpool A team.
Leechpool Pip Kingslea to Year 5+6 Basketball Title
Kingslea Primary School hosted this year’s Horsham Primary Schools Year 5+6 Basketball Tournament. 18 teams entered to make for an excellent event and it was Leechpool A who emerged as champions winning out in a super final versus Kingslea A, 12-10.
Netball Successes for Heron Way and Nuthurst
The final chapter of this year’s netball league took place at The Bridge last night as seven teams convened to contest the Tier 3 and Tier 4 play-offs, a meeting re-scheduled after the weather cancellation of the original date before Easter due to heavy rain.
Leechpool Victorious in Year 3 Football Cup
Leechpool A are the year 3 football cup winners, emerging as top dogs from a field of 10 at the last of this season’s cup tournaments on the Tanbridge astro. They met Heron Way in the final and triumphed 3-1 in a well played match.
Southies Sailing
Southwater A were imperious in winning the Horsham Primary Schools Year 4 Open Football Cup tonight on the Tanbridge astroturf. They moved the ball around the pitch like a grandmaster moves chess pieces around a board to outwit their opponent.
