Southwater Pip Leechpool in Dramatic Night of Year 3+4 Football

Another super night of football at Tanbridge tonigght as the year 3+4 children met for the second instalment of their league. Leechpool A held pole position on goal difference over Southwater at the start of the night but by the end of it roles were reversed as the Southies racked up some big wins whilst the Leechies relied on small margins to get past a couple of their opponents, including their own B team who were determined not to be accused of giving favours in the last round of the night.

Leechpool and Southwater Neck and Neck After First Year 3+4 Football League Meeting

It was the turn of the year 3+4s this week to turn on the football league style at the Tanbridge astroturf and they did not disappoint providing some fantastic matches. Just like in the year 5+6s the week before Leechpool A and Southwater lead the standings winning all their matches, the former finishing marginally ahead by virtue of goal difference. Sparks will fly when they play each other in two weeks’ time.

Leechpool Lead at Halfway Point of Year 5+6 Football League

Leechpool A lead the Horsham Primary Schools Year 5+6 Football League at the end of the first meeting of two which took place on the Tanbridge astroturf tonight. They played one more match than most of the other teams but were still the only team to go through the night unbeaten, albeit Arunside forced a goalless draw with them and small school St Mary’s Horsham gave them a fright in the match of the day which they won 3-2.

Year 3+4 Large School Title Heads South

Heron Way beat Southwater by 43 points to win today’s Large Schools Year 3+4 District Sports Quadkids Athletics in the midst of an entry field of nine local primary schools competing at The Bridge leisure centre’s athletics stadium. 43 points is not a lot when the winning points score is 2710!

Kingslea Win Out in Tight Rounders Tournament

Kingslea are the new primary school rounders top dogs in the Horsham area after their A team impressively rode the waves of some tough opponents at this year’s championships again held at Millais School in Horsham under the auspices of an excellent team of young leader (year 9) officials.
