Heron Way beat Southwater by 43 points to win today’s Large Schools Year 3+4 District Sports Quadkids Athletics in the midst of an entry field of nine local primary schools competing at The Bridge leisure centre’s athletics stadium. 43 points is not a lot when the winning points score is 2710!

Kingslea are the new primary school rounders top dogs in the Horsham area after their A team impressively rode the waves of some tough opponents at this year’s championships again held at Millais School in Horsham under the auspices of an excellent team of young leader (year 9) officials.

Southwater Take Stoolball Title

An enjoyable annual Horsham Primary Schools Stoolball Tournament ran at Horsham Sports Club on Wednesday morning. The sun shone nicely and 12 teams from seven schools competed well on the well prepared outfield of Horsham Cricket Club. A strong Southwater A team emerged triumphant but only after a tight final against Leechpool A.

The last part of this year’s primary schools tennis competition took place at Horsham Tennis Club yesterday afternoon with the individual competitions. Inset days and the last day before the half term holiday contributed to entry numbers being modest but two good age group tournaments progressed nonetheless.

Southwater Win Tennis Leagues

The team event of this year’s primary schools tennis process was completed tonight at Horsham Tennis Club and there were no surprises as Southwater marched to glory in both the age group competitions, year 3+4 and year 5+6. The third and final instalment of action involved both singles and doubles matches.
