All Saints and Shelley Splash Out
Eight schools convened upon the Pavilions in the Park swimming pool on Wednesday to compete in the annual primary schools gala. As ever teams could be entered in the A event for club swimmers plus any non-club children prepared top ‘swim-up’ and the B event for non-club swimmers only.
Indoor Athletics Pendulum Swings Back to Heron Way in Year 4 Event
The third instalment of the Horsham Primary Schools Sports Hall Athletics event series took place last week as the year 4’s took to the stage. The show moved a couple of hundred yards from Forest to Millais school and the female crew of sports leaders mirrored the excellent supervisory performance of the boys in previous weeks.
Leechpool Take Year 3/4 Dodgeball Title
Leechpool A won an exciting Horsham Primary Schools Year 3+4 Dodgeball Competition at The Bridge tonight, emerging pre-eminent from an entry field of nine teams from six schools and weather conditions, cold but calm, which were excellent for the time of year.
Nuts Cruising
There was no stopping Nuthurst A in the final first phase game of the Horsham Primary Schools Netball League on Thursday at The Bridge leisure centre. They scored 33 goals and conceded just three on their way to four Pool B victories to add to the three they won first time out. They will therefore progress to the top level play-off finals to take on the teams that topped Pool A.
TT Skills On Display in Festival
Kingslea Primary School hosted a primary schools table tennis skills festival to support the development of young beginner level players in the sport. 18 children playing in teams of two and drawn from three schools – Kingslea, Northolmes and Holbrook – took advantage of the opportunity.
Year 5 Sports Hall Athletics Title Goes South
Another fantastic sports hall athletics competition proceeded at Forest School today as the year 5’s strutted their stuff. The programme ran a little faster and smoother than last week’s year 6 opener as the event organisers and Forest sports leaders benefitted from the experience and learning from their first effort.
