The third instalment of the Horsham Primary Schools Sports Hall Athletics event series took place last week as the year 4’s took to the stage. The show moved a couple of hundred yards from Forest to Millais school and the female crew of sports leaders mirrored the excellent supervisory performance of the boys in previous weeks.

With eight school teams entered the track events were run as two heats of four lanes and much noise, fun and excitement proceeded to follow in that regard, complemented by some good throwing and jumping in the field events area.

The usual athletics suspects – Heron Way and Southwater – vied for supremacy and whilst it was nip and tuck, it was the former who won the day with 362 points, just 14 ahead of Southwater. Kingslea broke into bronze position with 252 edging out Greenway by 26 points.

Well done to all participants for contributing to a super event.
