This season’s third and final Horsham area primary schools sports hall athletics event, the year 4s, was won by Heron Way yesterday as they amassed 368 points, 16 ahead of nearest challengers Southwater Junior Academy and another 34 ahead of third placed Kingslea.
It was an excellent event, with The Bridge being used for the first time as a sports hall athletics venue, hopefully a pilot that will become much repeated in the future. Year 6 children from the participating schools were used as officials and did a great job of overseeing fairness and accuracy in the processing results of the nine competing schools.
