Leechpool A won the Horsham Primary Schools Netball League, topping the Division A title after maintaining their unbeaten status all the way to the end of the process. North Heath A pushed them all the way, coming in as runners-up and Southwater  came third on goal difference after they enjoyed an excellent final evening of four straight victories.

It was a relief to see the final meeting convene after a string of wet weather cancellations, not to mention the need to re-schedule three of the fixtures from the first Phase 2 meeting after conditions had become too slippy on one of the three courts. Thankfully terra was firma tonight and some excellent matches ensued.

The leading two, Leechpool A and North Heath A, met first match up and what a corker it was, a 3-3 draw to illustrate the small margin between teams in the upper reaches. North Heath won their next game against Kingslea A 7-5 so all level at the top after the second round of matches.

Round 3 was decisive however. North Heath took on a Southwater team buoyed by two early victories. Another super game took place with the Southies breaking North Heath hearts 7-5. At the same time Leechpool took full advantage of their principal rival’s blip beating Castlewood 3-1.

The final round cemented the fallout from Round 3 with both Leechpool and North Heath winning their last matches decisively. Southwater smashed Nuthurst 10-4 but that still left them well short on the goal difference margin they needed to make up on North Heath for second spot.
