Nine schools convened upon the Pavilions in the Park swimming pool on Wednesday to compete in the annual primary schools gala. As usual teams could be entered in the A event for club swimmers plus any non-club children prepared top ‘swim-up’ and the B event for non-club swimmers only.
Well done to All Saints who dominated the A event with seven first places in the eight races. Things were a lot closer in the B event. Leechpool was the dominant force in the individual races but Southwater excelled in the team relays winning the last three of them but when the scores were totted up Leechpool took it by a single point, 53 to 52.
