Last Thursday’s netball league Division A was affected by the postponement of three matches due to one of the three courts becoming too slippy to play on. Thankfully those matches can be squeezed into the second and final meeting due after February half term.

For the matches that were played Leechpool A made their three games count, the most exciting of them coming with a 7-4 win over Leechpool A. North Heath A and Kingslea A will also still fancy their chances of taking down the leaders next time out both securing two wins out of two, albeit North Heath A with a much superior goal difference after big wins over Castlewood and St Andrew’s Nuthurst.

Castlewood, Heron Way and Southwater lie mid-table but were all competitive, Castlewood for example pushing Kingslea A all the way in a match that finished 7-5. They’re all unlikely to make inroads into the top three positions in the next meeting but it would be no surprise if any of them bring off a shock result which dictates who wins the process. No luck for Nuthurst on the night as they suffered three defeats but well done to them for keepng their heads up all the way through nonetheless.
