After last week’s Division A freeze-off the Horsham Primary Schools Netball resumed with the first Phase 2 Division B meeting at The Bridge leisure centre multicourts.
All Saints and Leechpool B both started well. In their first games All Saints beat a rejuvenated Greenway outfit by a single goal and Leechpool B saw off Kingslea B in conclusive style. All Saints then proceeded to despatch Shelley 6-0 and Leechpool B made lighter work of Greenway. Round 3 saw the two confront each other in an excellent game which Leechpool came out the better of, 3-1. All Saints played a game more than their main rivals taking out their frustration on lowly North Heath B with a big win. So All Saints currently in pole position but Leechpool B just one point behind with a game in hand.
Greenway recovered well from their early defeats to win two to evidence their improvement and sit in third spot. Shelley similarly rallied well after being hit for six by All Saints and lie fourth. Close behind are Leechpool C and Kingslea B, the only teams to draw a match on the night in a superb game that finished 6-6. You don’t see that score very often!
St Mary’s sit bottom after suffering defeats in all three of their matches. They did manage to score a goal against North Heath B but conceding three to their nearest neighbours in the table meant that they currently sit in bottom spot.
