Five teams from three schools contested today’s Horsham Area Primary Schools Boys Netball Tournament tonight at The Bridge. They played in a straight round-robin format and Leechpool’s A and B teams turned out to be the dominant forces beating all opponents except each other in which match they drew 3-3. So goal difference became the decider and on that front Leechpool A became champions being six goals better off.
Southwater took third behind the big two with a yo-yo night of wins and losses. Leechpool C and Castlewood battled valiantly amidst some tough company and the meeting between the two was always likely to split fourth and fifth. When it happened Leechpool C won by the odd goal in three and sure enough fourth and fifth positions consequently fell into place.
