All Saints and Holbrook Splash Out

After taking a year out due to covid the Horsham Primary Schools Swimming Gala made a welcome return to the local sporting scene today at Pavilions in the Park. All Saints romped to victory in the A event in which club swimmers were allowed whilst the Holbrook A team did the business in the B event within which club swimmers were not allowed.

The event was well attended with 18 teams competing across the two categories. All Saints won six of the eight races, Slinfold and St Mary’s Pulborough winning the other two to prevent the clean sweep. Pulborough achieved second with 47 points, six behind the winners. Leechpool were delighted to win third with 35 points.

Holbrook A’s success in the B event was similarly decisive, with 78 points acquired out of a possible 88. Pulborough B came second with 57, narrowly pushing Slinfold into third, and with Holbrook B in turn just one more point behind in fourth.

Andy Lobley, Head Coach for Atlantis swimming Club, did a great job of directing proceedings excellently supported by volunteers from Collyer’s and some parents from the large spectating audience.
