Girls Still Unable to Dream of Reaching the Top in Sport
New research finds fewer than a third of girls (29%) dream of reaching the top of sport compared to half of boys (52%). Over the last three years the charity Women in Sport has tracked how the increased visibility of elite women’s sport has inspired girls. Despite inspirational performances from football’s Lionesses and netball’s Vitality Roses this summer, the latest data shows the number of girls who aspire to play elite level sport has declined (by 2%) compared to the same time a year ago.
Buddle Launch Offers Major Boost to Grassroots Sport and Activity
Grassroots sports clubs and community physical activity groups have a new home as Sport England launch Buddle. The National Lottery funded programme – which replaces Sport England’s Club Matters offering – will provide free learning and support resources to inspire and strengthen clubs and organisations offering sport and physical activity, as well the professionals that work with them.

Leechpool A Shade It In Netball Group Decider
Some more good matches were played tonight at The Bridge in the second meeting of Pool A of the Horsham Primary Schools Netball League. Phase 1 f the league is now completed and groups will be re-arranged for the new year with promotion of the top teams to an upper division and the others formiong a lower division.
