A fantastic morning of indoor athletics yesterday as 11 primary school teams containing a total of around 250 children descended (took over!) The Bridge leisure centre for the annual Horsham area year 4 indoor athletics championships.
As ever Southwater showed their athletic prowess to top the standings getting most points in both the girls and boys sub-divisions, and finishing 44 points of the also impressive Heron Way. Well done too to Shelley School for coming third overall.
It was non-stop action as the boys and girls split up to each compete over seven track races and six field events. A number of year 6 sports leaders joined the fray to officiate the events, doing so with great maturity, focus and care.
