Format Guidance

·      Finals Day – all children in a team will obtain a 9-hole score on the course. Each score will be recorded on a scorecard. Once a team has finished on a hole they will move on to the next hole but may have to wait for the team on that hole to finish first.

·      Selection Support (if provided) – visiting coaches will deploy games and challenges in line with organisational variables such as weather (indoor or outdoor), space available, time available and group numbers.

Rules for Finals Day

·       Play the fun way with beginner friendly rules for everyone to enjoy.

·       Stableford scoring – everyone gets the same handicap, but you do not have to score.

·       Preferred lies everywhere (within a foot). ‘Preferred lie’ allows you to move the ball out of a difficult position (eg behind a tree) into a more favourable position (eg fairway) without a shot penalty but you should not move it closer to the hole

·       Air shots don’t count.

·       Maximum of 10 shots per hole, then pick up.

·       1 attempted shot in bunker then throw it out of the bunker to the side. Throw counts as a shot.

·       Lost ball – drop another one where you think the lost one roughly was, add a shot and carry on from there.

·      If unsure of what to do, do what you think is fair.
