Another super primary school sports hall athletics ran this morning at The Bridge leisure centre with year 4’s taking their turn to do battle, around 200 of them. Southwater’s contingent of athletes was a chip off the old block of the success record they have built up over many years in this sport, as they amassed a winning total of 368 points.

Great to see North Heath mounting a strong challenge to take second spot and Kingslea and Shelley could not be split in sharing the third place position on the podium.

Well done to all the children from all nine competing schools for their high and fair spirits, and for proving such an exciting spectacle of skill and endeavour. Well done and thanks also to the team of young officials drawn from a number of the schools for doing an excellent job.

Eight teams of year 3’s come together at The Bridge next week for the final local primary schools indoor athletics competition of the year.
