Southwater won the year 5 Horsham primary schools sports hall athletics championships today in an excellent event at Forest School.
Ten teams took part and there were some brilliant performances both on the boys and girls side of the proceedings.
The final points tally saw the Southies with a total of 437 points prevail by 31 of them over their nearest challenger, Kingslea. Shelley won a close tussle for the third rostrum place, their 330 points being just two ahead of St Robert Southwell by the end.
The event was superbly marshalled by a team of 19 young officials from Forest School who were spread across the tasks associated with the track races, the field events and results computation.
