TennisThe last part of this year’s primary schools tennis competition took place at Horsham Tennis Club yesterday afternoon with the individual competitions. Inset days and the last day before the half term holiday contributed to entry numbers being modest but two good age group tournaments progressed nonetheless.

In the year 3+4s well done to Alex for winning all his six matches to gain maximum points. More interesting became the battle for second spot, eventually won by another St Mary’s player Edward, marginally over Southwater’s Harry.

Jensen from Southwater was the dominant force in the year 5+6s beating all eight opponents in the nine-man round-robin. Underneath the main man there was another really close bunfight for second spot ending up being led by St Mary’s player Ben on 29 points, followed by Tristan P from Holbrook on 28
