Catchment

·       Any primary school in the Horsham District

Age/gender/eligibility

·       Year 3+4 event

·       Year 5+6 event

·       It is possible for a younger child to play in an age group if necessary (eg a year 2 child might play in the year 3+4, year 4 child might play in the year 5+6 event).

This event is targeted at children who:

·       Are boys and girls

·       Not played in the school football team before (or only on an occasional reserve call-up basis)

·       Not played in an out-of-school junior club side regularly

Team size/entry

·       6-a-side on pitch, Maximum squad size 9.

·       Schools can enter multiple teams

Dates/times

·       Mondays, 12.30-2.20pm

         Year 3+4 on 3/3/25

         Year 5+6 on 17/3/25

Cost

·       £30 per team meeting

Weather considerations

·       Matches are on grass pitches

·       If a cancellation decision is necessary, all efforts will be made to communicate to schools in good time

Kit considerations

·       Football boots are recommended but trainers are allowed

·       All children should wear shin pads with long socks

·       Teams should be in uniform colours as far as possible, but bibs will be available in the event of clashes  

Parking and spectators

·       No spectating adults allowed, only those involved as part of supervising a school’s team(s)

·       Park roadside and walk children to the school

·       First 50 minutes will be focussed on skill development and challenges.

·       Last hour will entail matchplay

Conditions

·       Invoicing will be undertaken at booking deadline

·       No refunds will be issued for schools/teams that drop out after booking deadline

·       Additional teams can be accepted after the booking deadline at the discretion of the organisers

·     In the event of a bad weather cancellation and where a re-arrangement process is undertaken no refunds will be issued
